Powerus Wins $22.3 Million Middle East Oil Infrastructure Security Deal

U.S.-based Autonomous Power Corporation, which operates as Powerus, has signed a commercial contract worth approximately $22.3 million to provide counter-unmanned aircraft system technology for critical oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East.

The agreement covers hardware, software, site activation, installation and a 24-month integrated maintenance program. Powerus will deploy the system in phases based on the customer's operational requirements, according to the company.

The customer, deployment sites and specific facilities were not disclosed.

The networked system will give operators centralized detection, tracking and classification of potential drone threats, with command-and-control capabilities located at the customer's operations center. The initial focus will be on early warning, allowing personnel to assess aerial threats and make operational and safety decisions.

Powerus said the architecture has also been designed to accommodate its Guardian interceptor technology in the future, potentially expanding the system from detection and warning toward a broader counter-UAS capability.

The contract comes as oil and gas operators increasingly focus on protecting energy infrastructure against unmanned aerial threats. The vulnerability of production facilities, processing plants and other strategic energy assets has become a significant security concern in the Middle East, where drone and missile attacks in recent years have demonstrated the potential for relatively low-cost weapons to disrupt major energy operations.

Powerus said the agreement expands its existing commercial work with international energy operators and reflects growing demand for U.S.-developed counter-drone systems for critical infrastructure.

The company is also in the process of combining with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared the registration statement for the proposed transaction effective on August 12, 2026, and the companies currently expect to complete the combination in early October, subject to remaining closing conditions. Following the transaction, Aureus Greenway is expected to adopt the Powerus Corporation name.

The announced $22.3 million contract remains subject to commercial and execution risks, including potential changes in scope, milestone-based payments, export approvals, installation schedules and customer acceptance requirements.
