Charles Schwab (NYSE: $SCHW) plans to expand its crypto offering with three additional tokens, giving clients access to Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL), Avalanche (CRYPTO: $AVAX) and Chainlink (CRYPTO: $LINK) in the coming months.
The new assets will join Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH), which are already available through Schwab Crypto, the brokerage's digital asset trading platform. Schwab began rolling out the service to clients in May 2026 as part of its push into direct cryptocurrency trading.
In a Thursday announcement, the company said the decision to add SOL, AVAX and LINK comes amid client demand for established digital assets. It also plans to add more cryptocurrencies and other digital assets to the platform over time.
More From Cryptoprowl:
"With this expansion, clients will have more choices to build a digital asset allocation alongside the investing and banking experience they know and trust at Schwab," Joe Vietri, head of digital assets at Charles Schwab, said in a statement.
Schwab charges 75 basis points on the dollar value of each crypto trade, according to the company.
"Charles Schwab to add Solana to Schwab Crypto," the official X account of Solana wrote. "Direct SOL access for 39.9M brokerage accounts, sitting on $13.04T in client assets," the account added.
In June, Schwab also launched 24/7 crypto futures trading for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and XRP (CRYPTO: $XRP) through its thinkorswim platform.
The new crypto additions come as the prices of digital assets continue to increase after the Treasury's announcement to double the amount of longer-dated Treasury bonds that it would buy back from investors.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $79,801, up by more than 11% over the past week. Ethereum is also up 10% over the past week, currently trading at $2,505, while Solana is up 22% during the same period.
