Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Bought Millions of This AI Power Stock. Nvidia Just Strengthened the Bull Case

Nancy Pelosi's household disclosed one of the more eye-catching AI infrastructure trades of the summer. Public transaction data filed on August 21 shows her husband, Paul Pelosi, bought 10,000 shares of Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) on July 24 and another 5,000 shares on July 28. He also bought 200 call options with a $100 strike expiring in June 2027. The disclosed value ranges run into several million dollars. Because congressional disclosures report ranges rather than exact consideration, the precise dollar amount paid for the combined stock and options cannot be known from the filing alone.

The trade landed around a business inflection. On July 28, Bloom reported record second-quarter revenue of $1.065 billion, up 165.5% year over year. Product revenue grew 215%, GAAP gross margin improved to 33.4%, and operating cash flow swung to positive $226.4 million. Management raised full-year revenue guidance to $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion, roughly double 2025 at the midpoint.

The AI mechanism is very physical here. Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) builds onsite solid-oxide fuel-cell systems that can give data centers power without waiting years for new transmission infrastructure. CEO KR Sridhar said all major U.S. hyperscalers and more than a dozen neoclouds, AI labs and colocation operators have validated or approved Bloom's power solutions. Nvidia then projected roughly 70% revenue growth for its next fiscal year, reinforcing the idea that compute demand is still outrunning the infrastructure around it.

That does not make Bloom cheap or inevitable. The stock had already multiplied several times over the preceding year, so a large part of the power-shortage narrative is plainly visible in the price. Fuel cells still require manufacturing capacity, fuel supply and customer economics that compete with grid power, turbines, batteries and other onsite solutions. Pelosi's disclosure is also a household transaction, not evidence that the congresswoman has special knowledge about Bloom's business.

Insider Monkey's database showed 116 hedge funds holding BE, up from 91 in the prior quarter, with Value Aligned Research Advisors increasing its stake 22% to about 5.59 million shares, while Situational Awareness held roughly 6.27 million shares after trimming about 4%. At the August 14 settlement, short interest was approximately 18.26 million shares, or 6.39% of float, with 1.4 days to cover. The political-name hook will attract attention, but the investable story is simpler: Bloom has started converting AI's power bottleneck into revenue, margins and cash flow at a pace the market now expects to remain exceptional.
