Coinbase And Webull Join Forces In Canada

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global (NASDAQ: $COIN) has expanded its partnership with online trading platform Webull (NASDAQ: $BULL) to Canada.

In a statement, Coinbase said that Webull Canada will use its Crypto-as-a-Service platform to support digital asset trading and custody in the Canadian marketplace.

The arrangement gives Webull access to Coinbase's liquidity and infrastructure while allowing Canadian customers to trade digital assets such as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) without leaving the Webull platform.

More From Cryptoprowl:

This is the fourth market that Coinbase and Webull have joined forces to offer crypto trading services after doing the same in the U.S., Brazil and Australia.

Rather than build its own trading and custody system, Webull will connect its Canadian services to technology already used via Coinbase in the three other countries.

Coinbase said it will handle the infrastructure behind the offering, while Webull will control the customer-facing investment experience.

Michael Constantino, CEO of Webull Canada, said Canadian clients are seeking access to more asset classes, including cryptocurrencies.

"Canadian investors expect access to a growing range of asset classes, and crypto has become an increasingly important part of that mix," said Constantino in the company's news release.

Webull Canada offers 24-hour trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH), Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL), and other major cryptocurrencies.

Webull claims to serve more than 27 million registered users globally on its platform. It also offers Canadian and U.S.-listed stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and options contracts.

Webull entered Canada in 2024, initially offering access to Canadian and U.S. stock trading.

BULL stock has declined 29% in the last 12 months to trade at $9.56 U.S. per share. COIN stock has fallen 38% in the past year to trade at $188.72 U.S. a share.
