Stocks edge up as Nvidia leads tech higher following Hugging Face deal announcement: AlphaCheck

Good morning. Stocks edged higher on Thursday, with Nvidia (NVDA) leading tech gains.

Long-dated bond yields slipped ahead of Friday's jobs report. The 10-year Treasury (^TNX), which had touched its highest level since November 2023 in the prior session, dropped to 4.73%.

Tech stocks (XLK) rose as shares of Snowflake (SNOW) soared following a blowout quarter. Chipmaker Broadcom (AVGO) stock, however, dropped following strong quarterly results, but its revenue forecast missed Wall Street estimates.

Nvidia stock edged higher after the AI chip heavyweight announced it would acquire the AI open-weight model hub Hugging Face in a $13 billion deal.
