Alvopetro expands Canadian drilling inventory by 75% with new Mannville acreage

Alvopetro Energy Ltd (TSX-V:ALV, OTC:ALVOF, FRA:A6Y0) CEO Corey Ruttan spoke to Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest Mannville acreage acquisition in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, which adds 14 net sections and increases the company's drilling inventory by approximately 75%. Ruttan says the deal is structured as an earn-in, with Alvopetro holding a 75% working interest before payout on each well, dropping to 50% after payout, alongside a 50% interest in surrounding undeveloped land.

A C$8.5 million drilling program is set to begin in Q4, with five earning wells targeting five new core areas. Ruttan says the program is designed to prove up two key technologies: open hole multilateral drilling, which the company has already been deploying, and single horizontal wells with recirculation strings, which are also showing early success.

With more than 75 gross drilling locations identified, Ruttan says the new acreage materially extends Alvopetro's oil-weighted growth opportunities in Canada, which sit alongside the company's high-margin natural gas business in Brazil. He also outlined a longer-term vision of exporting these drilling and completion technologies internationally, describing it as consistent with Alvopetro's core value of finding innovative solutions to difficult challenges.
