Bitcoin and crypto stock prices today: Investors are on edge ahead of crucial ‘Clarity Act’ Senate vote

The crypto world has one thing on its mind today: Will the Clarity Act advance in the U.S. Senate?

Over a year after its introduction, the Clarity Act is finally up for a vote in the Senate. The bill, which would further legitimize the crypto industry with broader industry regulations, passed in the House of Representatives in July 2025.
The legislation has the backing of Senate Republicans, but requires at least seven Democratic senators to vote yes in order to reach the required 60 votes to proceed.
Attempts to gain that support have involved months of back-and-forth, along with surprising concessions from President Trump, who agreed to not sell his meme coins and put his current holdings into a blind trust.
Still, there's no guarantee of its passage.
That uncertainty is clearly reflected in top cryptocurrencies and the stock prices of crypto-adjacent companies, all of which were down in premarket trading on Tuesday. As of publication, here's how leading crypto stocks stand today:

The Clarity Act follows last year's Genius Act—the first federal crypto regulation in the U.S.—which was signed into law on July 18, 2025.
