Costco and Uber Eats Expand US Delivery Partnership to Nearly 600 Locations

Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) and Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ:COST) have expanded their US delivery partnership to 47 states, up from 17, making nearly 600 Costco locations available through the Uber Eats platform.

The companies said the expanded service allows Costco members to place orders for on-demand or scheduled delivery through the Uber Eats app.

Customers can purchase fresh produce, bulk groceries and household products, link their Costco membership during checkout and track their deliveries in real time.

Partnership Expands Across 47 States

The expansion increases the geographic reach of Costco's delivery service through Uber Eats, giving members access to products from participating warehouses.

Nearly 600 Costco locations are now available on the platform, according to the companies' joint statement.

Costco operates 641 warehouses in the United States and Puerto Rico, out of 933 locations worldwide.

The retailer is also available through Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France and Spain.

Membership Discounts and Promotional Offers

As part of the expanded agreement, eligible Costco members can receive a 50% discount on an annual Uber One membership during the first year, followed by a 20% discount in subsequent years.

The companies are also introducing a limited-time promotion under which Uber and Uber Eats gift cards with a face value of $100 will be available for $79.99 at participating Costco warehouses and through Costco.com.

Consumers can purchase a Costco membership directly through Uber Eats and receive a 30% discount on their first eligible order.

Uber One members can receive delivery with no Uber fees on eligible grocery and retail orders exceeding $60 at select stores.

The offers are subject to eligibility requirements and, where specified, promotional availability.

Uber Highlights Broader Access to Costco Products

Andrew Macdonald, Uber's president and chief operating officer, said the expansion would provide Costco members with additional shopping options.

"We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Costco nationwide, giving Costco members more ways to shop and bringing the brand's storied selection and value to more consumers," Macdonald said.

The expanded arrangement adds Costco locations to Uber Eats' US grocery and retail delivery network while extending the retailer's delivery options for its members.

The companies did not disclose financial terms for the expanded partnership or provide forecasts for the additional order volume it could generate.
