In comparison, rival Ulta Beauty, Inc. (ULTA) has lagged behind BBY stock. ULTA stock has declined 10.6% YTD and risen 1.2% over the past 52 weeks.

Despite BBY stock's outperformance, analysts remain cautious about its prospects. The stock has a consensus rating of "Hold" from 24 analysts in coverage, and as of writing, it is trading above the mean price target of $87.10.
