Alvys acquires LoadOps customers; Optym keeps LoadAi

Alvys is acquiring the LoadOps customer base from Optym as part of a strategic partnership the two companies announced Wednesday. Alvys told FreightWaves that the financial elements of the transaction are private.
The arrangement makes Alvys the transportation management system for carriers and brokers that ran LoadOps, Optym's TMS. Optym keeps LoadAi, its load planning and driver assignment platform, and is putting its resources there. Optym has spent more than 25 years applying operations research to freight planning decisions, and LoadAi runs at asset-based carriers across North America.
"We built Optym to solve the hardest optimization problems in transportation. This partnership lets us put everything into that mission," said Ravi Ahuja, founder and CEO of Optym.
Optym approached Alvys after evaluating several transportation management systems, according to Alvys, and picked on the basis of which vendor could best support the LoadOps install base as those customers scaled. The two companies are migrating LoadOps accounts onto the Alvys TMS one at a time.
Consolidation was the main pitch behind migrating the accounts.
"We are very grateful to Ravi, Shaman, and the team at Optym for the opportunity to partner with their LoadOps customers and to provide them with a platform to continue to grow and thrive. In Alvys, these companies are getting one platform for dispatch, accounting, compliance, and driver management … for both carriers and brokers. One login, one source of truth. We built it for operations exactly like theirs," said Nick Darman, founder and CEO of Alvys.
Alvys and Optym said they are working with each account on transition and setup. Early operations have migrated within days of their first call, according to the companies, with initial users recommending the system to peers.
Founded in 2020, Alvys says its platform moves roughly $9 billion in freight a year, with 60,000 carrier drivers on it. The company has raised $77 million in total funding, including a $40 million Series B led by RTP Global in September 2025.
Alvys recently released new features to augment its TMS platform. Alvys Foundry, launched Aug. 11, lets carriers and brokers build agents against check calls, invoice and settlement preparation, and track-and-trace exceptions, either from Alvys templates or to order.
Both companies said a shared offering for the combined install base will be announced later, and Alvys told FreightWaves there are multiple potential opportunities for the two organizations to partner more deeply.
"Our LoadOps customers needed a TMS partner built for the long haul. Alvys is that partner. In meeting with Alvys' clients and leadership team … we are working with them to make a smooth transition," Ahuja said.
