New York-based Fox Corporation (FOX) operates as a news, sports, and entertainment company in the United States. Valued at a market cap of $24.3 billion, the company operates in four segments: Cable Network Programming, Television, Credible, and The FOX Studio Lot, and broadcasts through channels such as FOX News, FOX Sports, the FOX Network, FS1, FS2, Fox Deportes, and more.

Companies with a market cap of $10 billion or more are typically referred to as "large-cap stocks." FOX fits perfectly into that category, with its market cap exceeding this threshold and reflecting its substantial size and influence in the entertainment industry.

FOX stock reached its 52-week high of $68.18 on Jan. 6 and has slipped 15.1% from that peak. The stock has grown 23.3% over the past three months, comfortably outperforming the Nasdaq Composite ($NASX), which grew 2.3% over the same period.

Over the longer term, however, the scenario changes. FOX is up 6.1% over the past 52 weeks, while NASX is up 19.8% over the same period, outperforming the stock.

FOX has been trading above its 200-day and 50-day moving averages since August, indicating bullish momentum.

FOX's short-term outperformance can be traced back to its impressive Q4 2026 earnings. On Aug. 6, FOX stock rose 6.1% following the release of its better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings. The company's revenue for the quarter rose 28% from the prior year's quarter to $4.2 billion, driven by a rise in its distribution revenue from growth in the Cable Network Programming segment, as well as growth in its advertising revenue due to the hugely popular broadcast of the FIFA Men's World Cup and Tubi AVOD service. Moreover, its adjusted EPS for the quarter amounted to $1.79, also topping the Street's forecasts.

When stacked against its peer in the entertainment industry, Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (LYV) shares have grown 3.3% over the past 52 weeks, also lagging behind FOX.

Wall Street's view of FOX stock is moderately bullish. Among the 14 analysts covering the stock, the overall consensus rating is "Moderate Buy." Its mean price target of $73.33 offers a 26.6% upside potential.
