TNR Gold nears first royalty payment from Mariana lithium project - ICYMI

TNR Gold Corp (TSX-V:TNR, FRA:TNW, OTC:TRRXF) executive chairman Kirill Klip talked with Proactive about the company's latest milestones, highlighting increased institutional backing from Altius Minerals, progress at the Mariana lithium project, developments at Los Azules and the strategy for advancing the Shotgun Gold Project in Alaska.

Klip said Altius Minerals has increased its investment in TNR Gold by purchasing additional shares on the open market, bringing its total holding to 30,935,000 shares.

He described the move as validation of the company's royalty-focused strategy and its portfolio of energy metals and gold assets.

The discussion also focused on a major development at the Mariana Lithium project in Argentina, where Ganfeng Lithium has begun production and exported its first lithium chloride.

According to Klip, this represents an important step towards TNR Gold receiving its first royalty payment.

"This is a very significant milestone for us because basically Ganfeng Lithium started production at Mariana Lithium last year... now we expect the first royalty payment and it will transition our company," he said.

"TNR Gold will graduate from project generation royalty company to hopefully royalty generation cash flow company."

Klip also discussed the outlook for the Los Azules copper project, noting improving economics as copper prices strengthen, progress towards a final investment decision and construction timeline, as well as reported interest from Rio Tinto in increasing its exposure. He highlighted the potential long-term scale of the project and said TNR Gold is looking forward to further developments, including the potential IPO of McEwen Copper.

The interview concluded with an update on the Shotgun Gold Project in Alaska, where TNR Gold is pursuing a joint venture strategy with major mining companies while limiting its own capital expenditure. Klip said the company is carrying out compliance work this year and aims to generate additional data for potential strategic partners.
