American Bitcoin appointed Paul Sacks as interim CFO beginning August 4. Sacks will continue as head of derivatives, a post he has held since May.
Sacks was co-head of digital exotics at BlockFills, a cryptocurrency trading-technology provider, from November 2022 through March 2026. Prior to that, he co-founded and ran Digital Gamma, a digital-asset trading and financial-technology business.
Prusak held infrastructure roles as chief commercial officer at US Bitcoin and later Hut 8. He became CEO of Ionic Digital before helping launch American Bitcoin in 2025, where he first led the company as CEO until its Nasdaq listing in September. He then became president and interim CFO.
In a post published by Giga, Prusak said his previous positions involved buying power infrastructure across hundreds of MW and managing the financial exposure created by project delays. His appointment gives him both business and finance titles at Giga, though the LinkedIn announcement provided no further corporate details.
