L&T-led consortium secures offshore project contract from ADNOC

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore), a division of India-based Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has secured a contract from ADNOC Offshore to develop multiple offshore facilities in the Middle East.

The project will be carried out by a consortium, with LTEH Offshore acting as the lead partner. LTEH Offshore will be responsible for the majority of the project's scope.

Although the exact contract value hasn't been disclosed, L&T indicated that it is more than Rs150bn ($1.57bn).

The contract covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of new offshore facilities.

LTEH Offshore will also oversee upgrades to existing infrastructure as part of the agreement. Much of the fabrication work is scheduled to take place at L&T's fabrication yards.

The company cited its integrated EPCIC capabilities and history of delivering complex offshore developments in the region.

L&T operates as a multinational group with a presence in sectors including engineering, procurement and construction projects, hi-tech manufacturing, products and services.

The company manages fabrication facilities in Hazira and Kattupalli in India, as well as Sohar in Oman, which support its offshore operations. It maintains a fleet of marine vessels for heavy-lift and pipe-laying activities as part of its offshore project execution.

Over the past four decades, LTEH Offshore has completed various offshore developments including fixed and floating platforms, subsea pipelines, risers, brownfield upgrades and decommissioning works in markets such as India, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, another division of L&T, was recently awarded a contract from the Kuwait Oil Company for work pertaining to the Jurassic Light Oil export facilities. The scope of the contract includes engineering, procurement and construction, as well as an upgrade to Kuwait's existing crude export network.
