Nordex secures 525MW turbine order from Türkerler

Nordex Group has secured a contract from Türkerler Holding to supply and install wind turbines with a total capacity of approximately 525MW for a project in Türkiye.

The agreement concerns the YEKA-5 R25 Sivas wind project and involves the delivery of 72 N175/6.X turbines from the company's Delta4000 series, each with a hub height of 108m.

The project also includes a ten-year premium service agreement, with an option to extend the service period to up to 25 years.

Installation of the first turbine is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027 (Q3 2027).

Nordex Group stated that the consistent wind conditions at the Sivas site are suitable for the N175/6.X turbines.

The order further expands Nordex Group's presence in Türkiye, where it currently reports a cumulative market share of 34%.

Nordex Group Türkiye and Middle East Region vice-president Ender Özatay said: "Türkerler Holding has placed its trust in the Nordex Group and has chosen us as its partner for the biggest single turbine deal in the Turkish wind energy market, and we sincerely thank the company for that.

Türkerler Holding is described as a regular customer of Nordex Group.

Since 1985, Nordex Group has commissioned more than 64GW of wind power in more than 40 markets.

In May 2026, the group began production at its new blade manufacturing plant in Menemen, İzmir, Türkiye. The facility is intended to address growing demand for high-efficiency onshore wind turbines in the region.
