Key questions
-
What is the scale of this disposition relative to the insider's total equity position?
The sale of 24,999 shares is a minor adjustment to Tamari Shahar's position, accounting for only 0.64% of their direct holdings. The insider remains heavily capitalized in the company with a post-transaction direct stake valued at $161.36 million as of the Aug. 5, 2026, market close. -
How does the timing of the sale align with recent share performance?
The transaction occurred while the stock was priced at $41.59, which reflects a 28% total return over the preceding year as of the Aug. 5, 2026, transaction date. This suggests the insider realized gains following a period of positive equity performance. -
What additional exposure does the insider maintain through derivative securities?
Beyond the 3,881,688 ordinary shares held directly, Shahar holds 882,600 derivative securities. SEC filings indicate these consist of options that are currently fully vested but remain unexercised, providing continued potential for equity participation.

What this transaction means for investors
Investors shouldn't sweat this transaction from COO Shahar, as it was a pre-planned transaction that likely doesn't reflect any opinion on GLBE stock. Furthermore, the sale only accounted for a 0.6% reduction in Shahar's shares, so this isn't a major deal size-wise either.
As for Global-e Online's actual operations, the company continues to fire on all cylinders and is set to report earnings on Aug. 12. Sales rose 28% over the last year, and Global-e's profitability continued to dramatically improve as it continues to deepen its relationship with Shopify. Since 2022, Global-e's net income margin has soared from -30% to 11.4% as the company's operations continue to streamline.
GLBE stock is a core holding for me because I don't believe AI can disrupt its full suite of offerings, and I believe Shopify's decision to partner with Global-e, rather than build its own solutions, supports this notion. Cross-border sales are a nightmare logistically, financially, and in general due to regulations, tariffs, and other local rules, but Global-e Online solves for these, and its steadily improving quarterly results show this belief is gradually playing out. Trading at 38 times this year's earnings, GLBE stock's longstanding double-digit growth rates aren't outrageously priced, and I'm happy to keep adding to my shares.
