EnWave inks R&D license agreement with University of Limerick

EnWave Corp (TSX-V:ENW, OTC:NWVCF, FRA:E4U) announced that it has signed a research and development license agreement with the University of Limerick in Ireland and sold the university a small-scale Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV) machine to support research, product development and academic studies.
Under the agreement, the University of Limerick will establish REV capabilities that will allow researchers and industry participants to access the technology for product development, process optimization and applied research, EnWave said.
The company said the research and development hubs are intended to provide prospective commercial partners with a lower-cost way to evaluate REV technology, develop products and validate processing parameters before potentially moving to larger-scale commercial applications.
EnWave said it plans to continue pursuing relationships with universities, research organizations, food innovation centres and other partners to expand access to its technology.
The company said placing REV equipment within established research and innovation networks could increase the number of companies evaluating the technology and contribute to its pipeline of potential commercial opportunities.
EnWave currently has REV installations across commercial processors, research institutions and innovation centres, with hubs operational in Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Germany, the US, Australia and Canada.
The company also said it sees value in expanding independent academic research involving REV, including peer-reviewed studies examining areas such as product quality, processing efficiency and nutrient retention compared with conventional drying technologies.
EnWave said its strategy remains focused on expanding its global installed base of REV machinery, increasing recurring royalty revenue and developing its commercial opportunity pipeline through greater industry engagement with the technology.
