Shaires Holdings opens door to private AI giants like Anthropic and Stripe for investors

Shaires Holdings Ltd (AIM: SHR) CEO Vivek 'Vick' Seth joined Stephen Gunnion in the Proactive studio with more on the company's fundraising, portfolio and strategy to give investors access to leading private frontier AI companies.

Seth said Shaires has been set up to acquire stakes in high-quality private AI businesses before they reach public markets, giving retail and institutional investors a route into value creation that's traditionally been hard to access. The company aims to build a concentrated portfolio of established AI businesses with strong long-term growth prospects.

Bringing together decades of experience investing in late-stage private tech alongside partners at NOIA Capital, Seth outlined the firm's investment philosophy and highlighted portfolio holdings including Anthropic, Stripe, Colossal Biosciences, SandboxAQ and Figure AI, with further investments expected as new capital is deployed.

On timing, Seth said: "We know this wave is here for good, and we are still at the early stages of the evolution of this entire wave. So I think it's a perfect inflexion point where we've found high-quality companies that have established businesses and very identifiable growth trajectories."

The interview also covers why Shaires chose London and AIM for its listing, how it plans to create liquidity for stakeholders in private companies, and why the UK offers an attractive environment for the business.
