Arizona Gold & Silver Inc (TSX-V:AZS, OTCQB:AZASF, FRA:A9J0) earlier this week highlighted new diamond drilling results from the Perry Zone at its Philadelphia Gold-Silver Project in the Oatman District of northwest Arizona, with senior vice president of exploration Lex Lambeck pointing to continuity in the vein system and further drilling opportunities.

Speaking with Proactive, Lambeck said the latest program followed up on high-grade results reported last year and earlier this year, with the company drilling up dip to infill the area.

Among the results highlighted, hole 169 returned 22 metres grading 4.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold within a broader 73-metre intersection grading 1.7 g/t gold. Hole 167 returned 15 metres grading 2.7 g/t gold within an overall 67-metre zone grading 1.1 g/t gold.

Lambeck said the results showed "good continuity of the Perry vein system" and were providing further confirmation of the company's geological interpretation and the hydrothermal system.

The next stages of exploration could provide further catalysts as Arizona Gold & Silver tests additional targets and extensions to known mineralization. Lambeck said the company had received its BLM permits and moved the drill to the east side of Red Hills.

The combination of down-dip drilling, along-strike testing and work beneath Red Hills therefore represents a series of potential exploration catalysts, with future drilling set to test the geological thesis outlined by Lambeck during the interview.

Reflecting on progress since joining in January, Lambeck said the project had lived up to his expectations. While noting that work had been underway for six years, he said: "The Philadelphia Gold-Silver Project now is only really just getting started."
