Global bond sell-off pressures stocks: AlphaCheck

Good morning. Stocks fell at the open as Treasury yields and oil prices continued their march higher. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) saw the sharpest declines, dropping 1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) and S&P 500 (^GSPC) fell 0.2% and 0.5%, respectively.
Here's a check of the markets in the first few minutes of trading, based on a heat map powered by Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.
Technology (XLK) stocks dragged on the overall indexes as concerns about borrowing costs and inflation returned to the forefront. Within tech, chip stocks took a leg lower, with Nvidia (NVDA) stock falling 2% and Intel (INTC) shares dropping 5%.
The Energy sector (XLE), meanwhile, saw gains as global oil prices rose above $90.
